Buses And Smiles

(It's about 2 in the morning, and the bus is at full speed )

The bus' cold breath etched a frown across the window pane,
I think of you and it painted a smile and the warmth remained the same ---
as those of a sunny tuesday morning inviting me to sing,
where one could fly in glee, with an unpaired wing

(It's a quarter to six and the sun is peeping through the horizon )

I filtered the sun's ray between my fingers as it failed to greet my left eye
I grinned , for the rays of your smile could generate more heat than this sky --
like those of an unearthen oil recently lit, like those of a kettle , when touched
one miss a beat

( the bus went to a halt . darn crappy bus)

"Hush now stay calm" I muttered as I remembered the "All is well" line
I closed my eyes so that others will not notice the cause of this internal sunny clime---
I know that when i open them, I'll get to see true morning again,
Yes I will make it , I will survive this crawl, As long as i have this pocket full of smiles
i dont need anything at all.
