The letter before 'Z'

Why do we care more of our prides decrease
when we could have said more, and waved 'hi' at least
cause it’s better to express love, though on us flies may feast
than to lay silent and live,but on regret were leashed


Why do we care more of the number of kiss
when none is true , all is fake and all taste like piss
cause it’s better to share a smile, though lust may mourn
than to taste it all, where love is torn


Why do we care more of someones looks
when we could have read more, than the cover of the book
cause its better to dig deeper and to look at the beauty of one’s soul
than to have someone on display but with lies as its toll


Why do we care more on how much one can be sold
when we could have conversations, that are way better than gold
cause it’s better to live as a pauper, with someone to grow old
that to live a life of a king but each nights we feel cold
